Although sustainable development has relatively fixed and accepted principles, but the approach of intellectual and political schools to the issue of sustainable development also has some differences. Accordingly, the present study seeks to examine the theoretical foundations of sustainable development in Islamic jurisprudence, the relationship of which with soft power is also examined. Therefore, the research question is what are the theoretical foundations of sustainable development in Islam and how can they create soft power in Islamic society? The hypothesis is: Islamic sources, and specifically jurisprudence, have rich and practical elements in the social, economic and environmental fields that can increase the power of Islamic society by becoming a model. Findings show that the power of a society is closely related to the way of governing that society, the ideological attitude of that society and also the lifestyle of the people and statesmen that Islam recommends social and economic justice, trust based behaviors and Protecting the environment and preserving the heritage of future generations is a model for other communities. Therefore, the realization of this model in various ways can attract others to the Islamic model and increase the power of the Islamic system at the regional and international levels. The present research method is descriptive-analytical which is the theoretical framework of Joseph Nye based on the research.
